"Advertising design, in persuading people to buy things they don’t need, with money they don’t have, in order to impress others who don’t care, is probably the phoniest field in existence today." — Victor Papanek circa 1971
Reading this a year ago sparked a professional course correction that eventually led me to the IDE program in London. That quote still captures the foundation of why I design: to use thoughtful, intentional design to enhance lives—not to commercially persuade.
Today, my focus is twofold. Long-term, I’m deeply interested in exploring the future of personal computing interfaces—rethinking how we interact with technology in ways that are more human, expressive, and meaningful. In the near term, I’m immersed in non-utilitarian design—playful, curious, and joyful forms that spark emotion, exploration, and wonder.
Design, for me, is not about selling—it’s about connecting.
